BACK INJECTION AND SOFT TOUCH

This technology allows the back-injection of plastic material onto fabric or leather-like inserts or foils. The fabric or the foil are introduced into the mold by robot and held in position by hooks or mold sliders. A possible application is for central door panel inserts.

Within our experience on back-injection on fabrics and foils we can also manufacture tools with the so called integrated in-mold cutting technology.

Conceived with the aim to provide a Soft touch-feel on a portion or on the entire component surface and to replace polyurethane foams, the over-moulding of a soft material onto a stiff structure is obtained through rotation, translation, pick-and-place, or inserts shifts technologies. Furthermore, thanks to newly developed materials, it is possible to get high grades of softness and scratch resistance.
